Very nice! I love the stack. No driveshaft issues with the fuel tanks? So when does the SAS of the X begin?
Lator.....

Thanks D for getting those posted so quick. U da bomb! I think I need to seek medical attention as my boner has been stiff for greater than 4 hours. Wink

Gator - fuel tanks are way above the rear driveshaft so no problem there.

I reckon so....

I think.... I think it deserves a beer... must resist the urge to beer...

Oh, and I'd like a much larger version of the picture BEFORE the "J decides no bueno" picture.

Some of those pics are out of order, because after I high centered (yes, I used all my break over angle on the very first outing and have decomposing granite lodged in my t-case crossmember as proof) and had to back down the hill, I drove right back to the same spot and crested over with just a touch of throttle. There's a pic later in the series that shows me over the top. Bottom line: I made it - it just took a second try.

I don't care if they're out of order, just that pic thats posted right before the no bueno one is badass, and I want a bigger copy so I can print it and add it to my list of half assed accomplishments.

"Andy crunching my tail pipe."

D, that just has way too many connotations....

What happened to Marshalls bumper? It looks like it broke, but what is the story there?

This accomplishment is far better than half assed. There are alot of people who deserve credit for making this project fly, but Jove, Perry and Carl can take the lions share of it.

Marshall took the plasma cutter to it over at John's to make way for the second edition. BIGGER, BADDER, and STRONGER!!!

Hey J, what size tires are on your rig, and did Andy like driving it? I just wonder if the height is AZ friendly, and if Andy could consider going spring over.

35/12.5/R15 Pro Comp Xterrians on 15X8 black Rock Krawlers (Andy old wheels). Andy will have to post his opinion but he had a smile while driving it. As for the Meany going spring over, I don't see that in the near future. His truck works pretty damn well, and I think he's happy with it as is. But, that's not to say, it'll never get done. I was riding with Andy when he drove it, and I can attest to the fact that we both had a bit of pucker factor due to the height. It was very stable though, and plenty of everything good- gears, power, clearance, etc. Rear shocks would be nice, and some way of hanging the left speaker rather than it hanging by its wire would be good too. Oh, and it was kinda odd staring at the ground through the tranny tunnel. The only serious issue I saw was the brakes, seems they won't hold the truck at a stop in 4 low-low. Overall, that's one sweet beast.

Brakes hold it adequately. The truck is too tall for my tastes, but it does work very well.

The meany won't be spring over unless I get a taller garage.

Yeah it was real good to see J smile like that.

I have yet another concussion from that hole I hit coming out. I couldn't even tell you how I got home, what route I took. It's all a blur. It's more than 24 hours later and I'm still groggy..... I do remember thinking it was going over on it's side and Cosmo jumping onto the back seat.....

Congratulations J on getting the beast out on the trail!!!
