I leave my camper shell off whenever I can do without it, which is most of the time. I suppose i could unload the 60" Hi-Lift and remove the winch during my regular commute. I have been lazy lately, though.
Most of my driving is highway miles and does not seem to vary much at all. It seems like I get 18, no matter what. |

X2 on camper shell. I have one also but it's never on the truck unless I need it. The daily driver has a tonneau cover which is very nice.
You could have a new mount made for the winch. If you currently have a arb style, bail out of that and get a tube style winch mount made. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |
