x2 my t-stat is a real pain to change out. Since you did not replace the t-stat with the water pump, I would say it's your t-stat finally giving up.

Flush the radiator and replace the t-stat.

The first thing to check is the last thing you fixed.
I doubt that it is coincidence that you are having this problem right after replacing those pulleys.

What all did you disconnect, remove, change, etc., during the process? Hillbille's point about the mix ratio was a good thought.

We need more clues. Velma, you go with Shaggy and Scooby. Daphne and I will check out the bedroom.

Daphne is just too two-dimensional.

Fan clutch should have some resistance. If the fan just spins freely by hand, that's a good call.

bummer part is they cost close to $100 to replace.

Drove home from work today... about a 20 min drive @55-60mph. It never moved above half.

Altho, when I got home, I had some coolant overflowing from the overflow bin... it leaked out onto the driveway. Smells horrid... like rancid ass. I think I'm gonna flush the system maybe this weekend.

If it turns out to be the fan clutch, PM me. I might have one.

On the V6, take off the belt tensioner bracket. This gives you tons of room.

really? i got the flex-a-lite black magic extreme. it has a shroud that perfectly covers my radiator, and sucks 3300cfm. it was the most powerful efan that would fit that i found.
is the clutch fan really better?

Yes, a manual clutch fan is the most reliable fan out there. If you want more air flow just tighten up the clutch a little bit. You can do that by changing to a different kind of fluid inside the clutch.

My 95 belt driven fan will pull my t-shirt to the grill with me standing in front of my arb bumper.

Using rockauto.com as my reference; the v6 does use a different fan clutch. Could be the same unit just with different spring or tension preset.

the flex-a-lite black magic extreme is much much better than the stock clutch fan. very nice shroud as well. covers radiator perfectly from top to bottom and only leaves about 3" on each side of the radiator exposed.
it cost me about $350, if the price of getting a good one is comparable, and you have money for an upgrade, you might want to look into it.
sucks 3300cfm at 100% power.
i know... i need to get some loom on those wires. you get the idea though...

Wow, what a waste, that was 350bucks that could have been spent on something useful.
