I have a 98 xcab frontier that I run 31x 10.50 x 15 mud terrains and I want to buy black rock crawler steel wheels.
What is the correct backspacing I should be using?
The wheels on it now are off a pathfinder and they are too bling for me.
I rub some with 31 x 10.5 ao I'm going to lift it soon as $$ allow.
I want to start with a black steel wheel..
What backspace is right and any vendors you suggest?

thanks

I believe factory backspacing is 3.75"

The organic matter is especially important, since that’s what prevents erosion, improves soil structure, health, water retention, and gives the next crop its nutrition. Modern agriculture only addresses the nutritional component by adding fossil-fuel based fertilizers, and because the soil is unhealthy from a lack of organic matter, copes with insects and disease with oil-based pesticides."

thnks for the replies.. but now I am confused..

reading the link
"1999 Frontier Se 4x4 wheels are 6 on 5.5-15x7 and 5.250 BS."

a 98 x-cab would be tha same as a 99 but 5.25 bs seem way out of whack..
I figured 3.75 like a toyota might fit..

whats right? ( best)
I want to mount black summit cragar soft black rc wheels using my 31 x 10.5 x 15 MTRs..with minimal rub. I got pathys on there now.

more opinions appreciated!

Stockers have more than 5" of BS. to use the Rock Cralwers (3.5-3.75" of backspacing, you'll be doing some significant fender trimming on the inner lip and the body seam on at the rear of the front wells to prevent rubbing.

To back up DR, stock wheels have 40mm of offset. For a stock 7" wide wheel, that is (40mm * 1"/25.4mm) + (7" x 1/2) = 5.07" Backspacing.

If you're not LOCKED, you're STOCK!

Are you lifted?

If so:

15x8 with 4.5" BS or
15x7 with 3.5" BS

If not lifted, look for a 7 inch rim with at least 4.5" of BS. This will likely be hard to find.

Id recommend a 15x7 for 31x10.50/15 tires.

Not too much, but you will likely need to trim the bottom edge of the flare and maybe a little on the fender.
