Hi all, new here but i have some questions
first background info: My names Aaron, im from London Ontario, Canada

Im considering buying a 1998 frontier, 4x4 extended cab etc.

Im pretty sure it has the 2.4, but if im pleasantly surprised it has the 6.

Anways i was wondering since it has torsion up front, how can i lift the truck for larger tires? From my understanding in stock configuration i would only be able to fit 28" tires.

Unfortunately im against bodylifting, and would prefer not to crank the stock torsion bars.

So please, your the experts, what are necessary mods for this truck?
I appreciate any info and suggestions that you all have

thankyou

-aaron

Buy a lift kit. Several are available. The how to section contains all you need to know about installing one.

If the truck is a '98, I highly doubt you have a V6, as the V6 was not available until the 1999 model year, unless you get different stuff in Canada (which I doubt) If you have the V6, it's probably a '99 model.

Were king cabs available in 98? You could lift it with a body lift and a torsion bar cranking. Saves you money until you sas the rig. And trust me, you are gonna start reading and learning alot about this stuff, and come to the conclusion so many of us have. Sas is the bomb.

If you don't want to SAS your truck ,then get aftermarket Tbars. Much better than stock limpy ones.

YOu can fit 30-9.50 x 15's tires in there, no problem.

31's will definately rub.

I ran 31's on mine when it was stock. Had to trim just a little bit of plastic where the mudflap went.
