Well the stupid %$&#$ add-a-leaf caused me to break another leaf this past weekend. That's 3 now that I've broken. Found a '96 HB in a salvage yard where I'm going to grab the spring packs. When I do my axle swap next month, I'll spend some time mixing and matching some leafs so I quit doing this.

I will be contacting AC about this. They need to use a longer AAL to prevent this happening.

The plus side? I'm getting really fast at swapping out leaf packs. This is the first time I got to use my air tools for this job too.

DR, are you running the AAL with the overloads or did you take them out? Just curious because I left mine in.

I left the overloads in. They don't really come into play though.

Why not get the replacement leaf pack? It'll add some flex and get rid of the axle hop.

Damn that sucks. Maybe look into Toyota springs and mix and match some leaves I believe they are the same width as the nissan springs.

They have more arch than the Nissan springs so might give you the lift you need.

Yeah, I may do that with some Yota springs.

Pecker, I have over 10 grand in mods in my truck...guess I'm just not too excited about pouring another 500+ into springs.

Anyways...got spring packs out of a '96 HB (Did y'all know their spring packs are about 2" longer than the Frontier one?), and I swiped the second leaf out of one of them for now. I'll have it all apart again soon to do my axle swap and I'm gonna look for an additional leaf to slide between the second leaf and the AAL. That should stiffen up the pack enough to stop the breakage.

DR if you cant find something from a salvage yard check out the Fabtech FTS-201 add a Leaf for $50 it is a thin full length leaf that provides around 1" of lift.

The leaf is as thick as the other 2 Nissan leafs and only a few inches shorter on each side than the 2nd leaf in the hardbodys leaf pack.

you could try using the fabtech add a leaf and the nismo offroad spring and yalld probably end up with a real flexy spring pack

http://www.summitracing.com

and do a keyword search for FABTECH ADD LEAF

Plus shipping is only $6.95 , and Summitracing almost always has everything in stock. If you order today you'll probably have them by the weekend.

If you order them order the FTS-201, Not the FTS-204 which are for the Xterra. But, are listed for the frontier on Summit's site.

Mikey, you picked a bad week for this...Mark is getting into town tonight and I gotta get all our stuff ready to go for tomorrow and for the weekend.

Yes, I did get my truck fixed. And I have lots of left over springs for the next one I break.

What do you need help on? I MIGHT, repeat, might be able to help for an hour or two, but can't say for sure til I get home tonight.
