So, Im thinking of going with the Calmini Kit. I need to fix my steering real soon, so i'm ready to pull the trigger. But I want to fit 33's, and not sure if I want to cut the fenders. I do plan to upgrade the front bumper to a prerunner style tho. Im wondering if I do a BL, how little of one I can do to run the 33's and will i need a steering extension?

with a body lift only, you'll def. need 3"... and you may still be rubbing a little... depends also on your wheels...I noticed you have aftermarket ones...

I had a '00 Frontier CC with a 2.5" susp. lift, 16x8 rockcrawlers, and 32" swampers, and had to remove mud flaps (which I would advise doing, regardless...) and trim a little bit off the bottom of the front bumper... thats only a half inch shorter than what you're talking about needing, and I had an inch smaller tire than you're talking about wanting...

whats the backspacing on your 16's? If less than 5.5 then you will rub.if you are gonna do the bl yourself and want to save some time,You might be able to get away with 2" bl and crank the torsion bars and shackles. If your not doing the bl yourself than do the 3" lift.with the 2" you don't need the steering extension.

The 3" body lift from 4x4parts.com comes with the necessary part to extend the steering linkage. Not a hard job to do either, just time consuming.

I would say you need the full 3", I had a 3" SL and 3" BL and I still rubbed a small amount with custom wheels (15" wheels with 4" BS running 33x12.5x15's), but I didn't if I ran the LEGO Wheels (go figure). Ended up going with 33x10.5x15's and those worked perfectly. Looks like you already got rid of the front mud flaps, so thats done.
