Hello everyone Smile, first time here. Bought a 98 king cab frontier 4x4 4 cyl 3moths ago with 90000mls, now I am thinking about 31-10.5-15 MT and no lift. I am going to crank the T bars and remove the front mud flps. What I want to do is go wheeling with Jeeeps and they are running 31" tires. Originaly I was going for 235-75-15 but evrybody told me to use 31s. I have an old Warn xd 9000lbs that I am going to put on my truck also. I had a 94 Toyo single cab 4x4 and it had 31s on it, and I was able to drive around and offroad with it until Iwrecked it two yrs ago. I'll take some pics and post them here soon.

31's will fit no problem on stock wheels. You'll want to take a before measurment on the Tbars and an after one (ride height) after you put on the winch so you can crank the Tbars to get back lost ride height due to the weight.

I've had my '98 since new. It's been a great truck.

Do change out all your fluids though, and the transmission requires GL-4 and nothing else (not GL5 or any substitutes)

Oh and to the newcomer smiley49
Don't be afraid to post a problem you need help with or to say ""look what I did".

One way to fix a jeep is to shoot the driver

Hello Everyone, Thanks for the info. and yes I wheel with a couple of jeeps, Jeep Rubicon and a jeep x with a 3" or 4" lift and a 31" tires on it. For some reason my fronty with stock tires can keep up with the jeeps. I was thinking about buying some of those black rock crawler rims and just keep my stock tires and rims for driving to work. I like the the fuel mlg on the stock fronty. I don't know what the 31" tires will do for me, I drive 50 mls a day to work. I am going to wheel to Mylano this Saturday with the Jeep x, and I will be taking some pics.

With bigger tires the jeeps will have to keep up with you.

OK, I am back with some pics, I am still trying to figure out how to use my DELL computer. The trip was fun, but we rode quads most of the time. Before we left the camp, I drove my Nissan on the dirt track, I had my truck on low 4x4 and it didn't spin tires the whole time I was on it. The Jeep got scared and stayed at the camp site.
