It happens while driving straight, low speed, after hitting the gas it will do it every time I the brakes. I can feel it through the floorboard. Any ideas?

Might be the torsion bar anchor as the front suspension compresses from weight transfer....not sure tho

Something is loose in the front suspension. Check UCA and LCA mounting bolts, T-bar mounts, ball joints, etc.
I suspect that something is shifting back and forth with braking/brake release. Find it before it breaks.

Did you ever figure out what that loud pop was that happened when we jacked up one side of your truck? Since DR mentioned your t-bar anchors and I thought the sound was coming from them also, you might want to make sure those are seated properly...

nope. never did. I had the truck jacked up after that tho, and it didn't happen again. I looked under the truck and everything seems to be in place. Maybe I'll just have to wait til it breaks!

ok I got one. One time my aft t-bar anchor was not seated all the way. Every hard bump or so I would here a pop or something. Just thought it was the suspension. After a while all the splines are the t-bar anchor rounded off then I heard a loud bang and my front fell to the ground.

um. . . what am I looking for to see if the torsion bars are seated right? They've been on for over a year. Can they become "unseated"?

Mine didn't get unseated but the torsion bar splines stripped out the splines in the front mount because the t-bar was not seated properly when installed. Prior to the failure there was about 1/2" more spline showing behind the front mount than there was on the 'good' side that didn't fail.

Look at the front of the t-bars where they go into a socket looking thing which is the front mount. You should see just a little bit (or none) of the splines on the end of the t-bar there - all but about 1/8" to 1/4" of the splines should be 'seated' in that front mount. The t-bars on both sides should have about the same amount of spline showing behind that front mount and it should not be very much. Also check that the bolts holding that mount to the control arm are tight. Do NOT try to move those t-bars forward into the front mount without putting the front of the truck on jack stands and unwinding the t-bar adjusters at the back of the t-bars all the way. The weight of the front of your truck is being held up by the torque of those torsion bars being twisted by the adjusters in back against the splines in the front mount.

I would be surprised if the torsion bars are why you hear a pop every time you brake at low speed. If they were that messed up your truck would fall down pretty quick.

What do the rubber boots on your front axle shafts look like? Have you checked the bolts that hold the upper control arms to the upper ball joints? That got me too once. If you suddenly have trouble making forward progress, STOP.

Got a friend who can walk along side and listen while you make it pop at low speed in a parking lot or something to narrow down where it is coming from? It could be the motor falling back into the broken motor mount if you have to HIT the gas to make it pop. I dunno.

No, if the t-bars have been on for a year without any problems. The t-bars are not the cause of the noise you hearing.

dunno...I still think that's what it is. Just the anchors creaking a bit on compression. I recall that from time to time when I was IFS too...if it's directly under your floorboard, I'm betting that's what it is.

Is it possible that the popping could be coming from my cv joints? since it happens when I turn the wheel as well?

Unless your hubs aren't unlocking, the CV joints shouldn't be turning.

This was a CONSTANT problem for my frontier, i dont know if it was the rancho shock or what, but it definitley created a popping.
