i went down to currie the othere week to get a antirock bar (they are local to me). unfortunately, the sizes they carry are too narrow, or way to wide for my frame. however, they fit perfectly above the rear frame rails, and there is enough space between the frame and the bed (we stuck one in there) to fit one.

steevo is a personal friend of a guy who works at currie, and we are going to push for a custom bar to be made to fit our nissan frontiers. is this something that would interest you?
my truck would be the pilot for making the custom anti rock bar, so as long as your rear frame rails aren't modified, it will fit perfectly. the more demand that we raise for our application, the more likely they will make a custom one for us.
let me know!
mike

also, does anyone know if xterras' frame rail dimensions are the same? that would be awesome, as it would broaden our consumer base.

they run about $350~

Maybe you could provide a description of where it would be mounted?

not a slider? not a skid plate?

what? where?

I would be into a front one. i looked into them when I did my SAS but found out exactly what you did.

I would eventually want one for the rear, I plan some day to do a 3 link set up like yours.

hillbillie,
its sort of like a sway bar, but the bar is up by the frame only links stretch down to the axle. it works similar to a traditional sway bar, but when one side of the suspension droops, it compresses the other side. it helps keep the body of the truck straight when the gound underneath it is off camber.
theres a video on currieenterprises.com that explains how it works.

although its a "swaybar" it doesn't limit suspension travel, and it is commonly used in competition in professional off roading events.

SmileThanks, Roastbeef.

Didn't find the Currie link, but found this one... Have yet to watch the vid( susppoesed to be big)/ wrap my brain around how it act's like a sway, but doesn't limit travel- seems counterintuitive.

The WRITE UP gives it rave reviews. Only thing I am concerned about is the road handling issues, sounds like a little more body roll.

I would be interested.

Can't be any worse than running without a sway bar, right? Do they have a disco option? Or anything like the one that has the hub type thing built in and you just have to "unlock" the sway bar? I would prefer a more street friendly version w/ a disco option. I was, still am, considering building one out of stock waggy bar.

The antirock stays connected all the time, there is no disconnect option... to be honest there is no reason to disconnect.

The arms on the system do have adjustability to soften or stiffen the effects of the anti-rock.

From the write up the system looks quite simple and easily to make your own at home. Maybe it's just the link posted only has 2 pictures.
