Hey guys Smile,

I mounted the Warn XD 9000 on my 98 frontier last night and the front of the truck went down almost 2", it looks like my truck is about to tip over. I tried to crank the TB about 9 turns and it only went up 1/2". The winch mount is homegrown and I think it's about 50lbs plus the winch, about 130lbs total. Is the winch too big for the truck? I had it on my 87 yj and it looked fine then.

Thanks,

Nope. Keep turning up those Tbars until you get back to your original height. You may need to reindex them to get the right amount of adjustment.

You can also get a nice UHMWP winch line. Saves alot of weight, although it isn't as strong, and they cost too much imo. But I got one because of the front end sag, and was glad I did.

The synthetic line I got is stronger than steel for size for size.

I installed sway-aways because of this problem, a year ago. Now I have the ARB and winch to install.
