Well, a good deal of Saturday would be spent caravaning up to J's place. I'd like to take you out in the desert here to give you a good feel for desert wheeling on Friday. Besides, I'm all for a 4 day weekend smile

Okay, twist my arm.. smile Maybe I will just have to stay another day and wheel on Sunday. My campsite reservation is already paid for for the week so who cares when I get there. Plus, I'm slowly falling in love with Arizona.

The other thing Mark, is that J's place is about an hour from the south rim of the Grand Canyon. We're gonna stay at J's place til Monday and then drive home. We're still trying to get Mikey to take his pathy on this rock garden out at J's. He's being whimpy about it tho.

What kind of beer does J like? I'd have to say, beer that's cold. big grin I'm thinking that the keg we got last time was either Keystone or MGD. I'm thinking MGD, but I don't drink beer often so DR will have to answer that one.

oh man.. this rock garden is pretty crazy.. If you're locked by then, you might have fun on it.

The grand canyon is a definite must-see. If you havent seen it, spend the $20 and go. I may be up for another trip up there.. Ive only seen it twice.

DL, it was MGD. But mine had some Cuervo in it.

Keep that little guy out of your tent, John!

Dude, If J or me rides up to the canyon with ya, we got park passes so you can save the $20

When you're that close to it, you GOTTA see it. I'd recommend Sunday morning before you go as a good time to head up there. Beat the crowds.

Mark,

Where do you have a campsite reserved in CO? Is anyone sharing it with you? This trip is getting better by the minute. I don't give a hoot about GOX, but would love to run some trails out there in CO this year. Might have to postpone my hiking trip for another year.

Joel,

We're at 4J right in town 2 blocks from Main St. Walking distance to everything. Laundry 500 feet away along with bathhouses, very, very clean. Power and water for 18 bucks a night per campsite. We reserved 2 for 3 people so I say.

"Come On Down" after your hospitality for Cali 1, allow me to return for Colorado. Bring your fishing pole.

Rosa and I were there for 2 weeks in May and have all the trails on the GPS. We can avoid all the big groups and still get to see everything.

Here's a link to a Topo Pic of Ouray, notice the campround symbol in the left hand corner in town, it's the 4J

Ouray in 3D

Here's another of the beginning of the Alpine Loop up to Engineer Pass

Bear Creek Trail to Engineer Pass
