any tricks to doing the last one? its been about 4hrs and im stuck on that last one (towards the back). i cant see the damn thing. i can feel it but cant get anything in there to take it off.

i even took the hood off, but still no go. im seriously thinking of just taking this to the dealer and tell them i just need to replace ONE spark plug.

oh and this is for my dads 2000 V6 Frontier.

look for a really long spark plug socket in your spare tire kit. mine had one anyway.

eh im still working on this damn thing. the frontier didnt come with a spark plug socket so ive been using the one from my 95 HB.

thanks for that write-up...im gonna go give it another shot. hopefully i can find all of those things.

this is probably the last time im gonna change the spark plug on this. its just not worth it anymore. i cant remember having this much trouble with spark plugs on any other cars.

I was able to get it with only one u-joint (even though I went out and bought 2).

I had more trouble with the ones under the intake manifold. Becareful pulling off your wires; one of mine broke and I thought I'd never the the piece off of the plug so I could pull the plug.

I did this a few days ago, and that last spark plug was a bitch!!! It took me 4 hours to take it off and another 2 hours to put a new one.

Make sure you use a compressor to blow the dirt off of the old plugs before you take them off.

Mine was, until I found the Nissan socket/extension in the tool bag. I haven't found anything more effective.

I'm not looking forward to doing mine this summer. I should have the tools and the garage back by then.

I'm a little late on this thread. The easy way to do your spark plugs on a v6 is have 2-3 different size extensions and 1-2 universal sockets. Easy to find at your local wal-mart.

why not just use the 12" spark plug socket that comes in the tire bag?

On the SC you supposedly have to pull the intake tube and some vacuum lines to get 2&4. I'll find out later on this summer.
