im about to purchase some tires and wanted some input..i tried searching but could not find a clear answer. i have 15x7 rims and the 06 frontier will have 3" spacers and 2" blocks will 33x10.50 all terrain tires clear? i dont mind cutting things as long as i dont have to cut fenders. anyways let me know! thanks
the 15" rims will not work, the brake caliper will interfere, you'll need at least 16" wheels... I would just stick with the stock ones that came on the truck...
and the 33s should fit, but you may have to trim a little bit on the backside of the wheel wells (the pinch weld)

I stand corrected... I just looked at my 2005 Frontier brochure, and the XEs come with 15" wheels... I'm guessing you have the 4cyl, 'cause the v6 models have the bigger brakes and larger diameter wheels...
you'll probably have to trim a good bit, even with the 3" spacer and blocks... your truck came with 29" tires and you want to go up 4" in tire size with only 3" of lift...
also, you're gonna see a significant power loss with the increase of tire size...

rad! thanks! and as far as power loss....i drive a 4 banger frontier...it has no power to lose! its already slower than christmas so losing a bit more power is not gonna be that bad.
well, im trying to decide if i want 31's or 33's. yes they are on steelies....i think 31's will be fine but i heard that 33's would fit so i was trying to find out if it was true or not.
i think im just gonna go with the 31's for now and maybe buy an old beater 4x4 truck and put some big tires on it....this is an 06 and i dont really need to be sinking it in any holes just yet. thanks for the help guys..got any suggestions on 31x10.50-15 tires?
For a daily drive vehicle BFG AT's are worth it. There not cheap but not expensive, perform well off-road and handle good on the highway. However DO NOT take them in the mud. You will lose the battle.
My 95HB ran 31X10.50 most of it's lift. I've been plenty of places with those tire without any problems. There are a lot of different factors than just tire size.
i am aware that there are alot of different factors than just the size thats why i asked if anyone had any they recommend. i like to hit mud holes so i need a tire that grips halfway decent in mud. i dont want swampers or anything that extreme just something that will perform in the mud. and please dont preach to me about my 2wd truck and mud bogging...i have read it all and i have heard it all...but at the end of the day its a 2wd and i am going to go into mud with it. just wanna get that out there before anyone starts with me. anyone here run kumho kl78's?
