Well it's new to me(05)and only has 11K mileage,it has every option except hitch, sunroof and hard tonneau cover. It's too pretty for me right now to do the inevitable mods but then that's why I'm here..open for suggestions..anyway,expect to see me here more often <G>!

That looks good. I like the "new" body style of those Fronties. My dad's looks pretty cool too.

Hey there Mystro...
Congrats on the new truck! Some ideas for first mods to think about will not cost a thing! hehehe... Consider taking off the the side steps and the mudflaps, especially the rear ones. The steps are going to get damaged real quickly offroad because of where they sit at plus they have zip for structural strength with respect to offroad banging. At the worst (and I have seen this happen) they will get knocked up into the body and trash the doors. The mudflaps are going to be hitting on rocks and ledges as you come off them. I am a pretty poor example since on my Xterra, I am just letting them bang but it wont last much longer as one has acquired a small tear and the other has been bent back a number of times and is acquiring a crease in it. Good points,I like the looks of the steps but I could see right away they will be an issue once I start doing even slightly more serious boondocking...maybe making them easily removable with some kind of slip on-off bracket. At this stage I'll leave the rock crawling to the real trucks but I will make this more trail friendly which it isn't right now.
I noticed in the catalog Nissan has some nice looking acc's such as tonnaue covers, grill guards etc..does their quality stackup? Subaru makes excellent acc's, I hope Nissie does also. cg |
