I was wondering when you were gonna post up the pics. I went by the other day and talked to him, and he seemed very proud of the work, and now I know why. Looks good, Ill probably get the same design when I have him do mine.

Can that hitch reciever hold any weight? It looks like it does not have much support?

Hunter claims "YES" but I am going to take it back and have added some 45 degree angle bars going from the hitch to the frame, that way I can hang the truck from the hitch if necessary.

Okay this may be a stupid question or it's been answered before...where's the license plate go?

Don't get me wrong. It looks like it's gonna protect your hiney very well.

For daily driving, it will go below the receiver, but I take it off and put it in the rear window when I am trail hopping.

He has a site but all the work he does is local. He hasnt updated his site in years. Nothing he does is made in bulk, its per the truck that comes in.

He was talking about keeping my design and possible making more. His phone number is (480) 557-7577 and his website is http://www.hunteroffroad.com/

But as said before, his website is old and hasn't been updated lately

That looks great, Bob! The hitch receiver looks pretty strong as-is. More bracing would allow you to winch from it, I suppose.
My saloon door spring license bracket is a proven survivor, now. I have thoroughly thrashed it and it is still working.
I mounted a license plate light on the outer tube facing the plate to illuminate it. Here are some pics. The hinge is home made from two spring hinges welded together, then welded to the bumper.

Here is a good view of it:

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

A piece of reinforced rubber, such as a tire sidewall, might work just as well. It would be stiff enough not to flap in the breeze, yet fold against the bumper when you hit it.
