Didn't the shop mount it? Mine is mounted on passenger firewall just to the rear of the Power Steering reservoir.

I bent up a couple pieces of strap steel and made a pedestal that mounts to the passenger side fenderwell on the Xterra. The cruise control was in the way to do it pretty much any other way for me.

they wanted to charge me an extra $100 to fab a bracket and mount it. It's the bigger compressor, that's sposed to be able to air tires up too. It wont fit on the passenger side fenderwell, as is.

Do you have cruise control? I used that bracket. rotated so one of the arms goes down to the wheel well instead of horizontal to the fender; and then I bungied the cruise control box on to the back. This isn't the best picture but its what I have online right now

Do you have the old style arb compressor? If so those things are small and can be mounted almost anywhere.

Here is where mine is mounted. I have a steel plate on the underside of the wheel well that braces it down good. And before anyone says anything, no the bungy is not holding it on....

What is that box on your firewall, I think Desert Rat move that box and then placed my compressor there.

I see plenty of room there on yours. Take a look at my picture again, that box on your firewall is sitting in front of my compressor.

The one on my X is in pretty much the same spot, it just stands upright on the brackets I made.

did you have to move anything? Or is there no cruise control on her X?

Bob, it looks like, the plugs in front of your compressor are in addition to what would be the cruise control box. I don't see the box in your pic.

Mine is simular to gumybobs mount only mine sits front to back rather than side to side. Now I just gotta figure out how to mount my york so I can get rid of the ARB compressor.
