I am going to purchase this wheel and run 31 x 10.5 Dick cepeks MT on a 98 Frontier 4x4 stock .
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter...953+115&autoview=sku I just need to confirm that a 7" wheel will fit I guess I don't understand offset as well as I should but will 12mm offset to the + plus side put the wheel closer to rubbing ? Most suggest I run a 7" wheel. Also is the disc brake/rotor/ tie rod going to be a problem or should I just go 8" with a 4mm + offset? thanks |

A 7" rim is ideal for a 10.5" tread width. your stock wheels are 7". If you use those, you'll be fine. Most aftermarket rims have less backspacing, and you'll find yourself doing some fender trimming if you use them. Little or no trimming is needed if you mount those tires on your stock wheels.

stock mag wheels will handle 10.50's just fine. I've ran both 15X7 and 15X8 with 31X10.50 without problems.

Thanks again guys... I hate to beat a dead dog to death on this but here is a little more info.
I want black steel 15" x 7" wheels with 4.5" backspace as shown in the link. I don't want the stock wheels. I will use those for a separate set of street tires. The stock wheels I have are 5.75" backspace difference of 1.25" on the black steel 7" wheels. I don't understand offset even after reading a few links. I have 12mm positive offset with the summit black crawlers. Will They work or will I rub the frame, flairs, tierod or brake rotor? |

ok here's a easy way to remember offset.
offset either pulls the wheel away from the fender or tucks the tire into the finder wheel. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |
