I'm thinkin I may just go ahead and order an ARB air locker for the pathy. cool I gotta do it sooner or later. But then I'll need an ExtremeAire compressor, air tank, and dual regulators (one for the ARB, one for accessories) too. That plus the install will be around $1500. ouch.

Andy, where'd you have yours installed at?

Going with the Detroit would save you quite a bit of coin.

Had mine done at ORU in Mesa, but will never go back.

Try 4 Wheelers Supply on Washington. They've got a pretty solid reputation.

Or you could try your hand at a diff install smile

AC sells one for the limited slip carrier now, but I believe it costs more than the ARB.

John, are you sure about that? Doesn't the Detroit replace the entire carrier anyway?

Hmm.. not sure. But if its more than the ARB one, I'd rather get the ARB. Only reason I'd go with a detroit or lockright would be for the price.

I think AC sells 2 types of the Detroit for your axle. The drop-in for an open diff & one that comes complete with a new carrier for the LSD diffs. I think their price for the "carrier" Detroit is about $560. I hope this link works.

Gotcha!

Cool.. Not sure which I'd get then. The ARB is tempting mainly because I could disable it while driving in snow, rain, etc.. That and i need onboard air anyway.

Your initial cost would be cheaper with the Detroit, because you would not have to worry with the comp, wiring, and air lines, but you would get a more useful locker and the on board air with the ARB with more upfront cost.

I picked up an H233B open diff for $35 shipped a little while back in the hopes that a drop-in locker might some day be available in a 33-spline unit...

OK you crazy postjackers wink I got some pricing done through AC and here's what I think I'm gonna do. Since the LSD through Calmini is a myth, I'm gonna go ARB in front....but I'm gonna get a new one. By the time I disassemble my old one, ship it, get it machined, and ship it back, I'll be into that a couple hundred, so instead I'll just sell the entire rear C200 with the ARB in it.

I'll have 2 new ARB lockers and 5.14 gears. I already have the axles and one of the ARB's, but I still have about $1700 worth of stuff to get. Oh well, it's still gonna be all Nissan with a locked IFS front and good steering. And I've got 2 spare halfshafts already in case I start breaking stuff...(knock on wood)

DL is helping me with the purchase (have I told everyone lately what a good woman she is?), but finding time to do the installs may be a little ways off. Can't wait to get the 5.14's in there so I can make it up a hill on the highway again.
