well i ordered my CL from phil about 2 weeks ago and it arrived today. I understand from the directions that the only real difficult part to the install is to drill out the pitman arm to 5/8ths. Anyone else know of any pitfalls to watch out for before i swap the centerlinks? I have not really done much with swappin steering parts so I am being cautious. thanks in advance.

take off the idler arm and clamp it down for drilling. for the pitman, turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and get it to lock, then you can drill it out. it's pretty easy to get it straight, it's only cutting on the outside of the bit and the taper is just big enough at the top that it goes in pretty easy. take your time and it will be fine.

Drilling out the IA and PA was remarkably easy.

Just make sure to get a really good drill bit and some oil to keep it cool.

I finished the install and drove 600 miles. Eveything seems fine. It drives great. The steering is really stiff but it's wearing in slowly.

I'll get some photos of the welds once the rain stops.

Anyone had contact with phil lately? How's that system holding up for you?

Call Hoohaa (see banner ad above). It's a very similar solution from a responsive vendor.

I think i may have gotten on of his last systems i ordered last June, i think before he disappeared. It is holding up well and i have no complaints. Hoohaa on the other hand has made a similar product like DR said and looks to be just as good if not better, since Hoohaa is on multiple Nissan Boards daily.

Center link is all you need. There's not a huge need for a calmini kit. The tie rods snap from the center link twisting upwards under stress. If you stop the CL from twisting upwards you fix your tie rod breakage.

When you replace the CL but new IA and tre's.
