On progressive rate springs, where there are tight coils, and looser coils, does it matter which direction the tighter coils go? As in up or down.

Here's how I have them now and it rides like a freight train.

Also its about 2 1/2 inches too high in the rear, since its progressive rate, can I cut off a few of the closer coils to give a better and shorter ride?

Wouldn't think it matters much, but in all the applications I've seen the loose loops are to the bottom.

Sounds like you just got a stiff set of springs. Time to put more crap in the back of the truck Smile

you can cut off a pigtail of the springs to make them shorter to bring you tail end down

You have to cut the pigtail off to even get the springs to work Kyle.

So the bottom of the front flare is at 35 1/2". The bottom of the rear is at 40 1/2". The pictures dont do the rake of the truck justice.

I pulled off the shocks, and the rear went up a 1/4" and now is flexy. I think the shocks were just too short. And the spare shocks I had are only a 1/2" longer fully extended so they are too short also. Im going to pull out the coils and cut a ring or two off and see what happens. I definitely need the rear lower. 5" of difference is just too much. Way too much.

So Robert came over and we cut two coils off the tighter side. Cutting 2 coils off resulted in a drop of 1". 1 frickin inch. So I called it good. Threw on the spare Ranchos I had and turned up the stiffness a bit to help with bodyroll. Put everything back together and realized it still looks ridiculous. So I need to do the front a-arms and re-index sooner than later lol
