Mine has been cranked for 45k out of the last 145k miles. The torsion bars have only recently gone out. They keep sagging and wont hold the ride height at all.

With the cranked T bars, I had to replace all 4 balljoints.. but I think that was more a function of the mileage more than anything. Cranked T bars will tend to kill centerlinks more than anything else, since the tie rods tend to push it upwards under power.

Overall, its well worth it if you need the clearance for offroading.

John, If you are not willing to spring for new Tbars right now, as a temporary solution, I will trade you my factory ones(which are still in decent shape) for yours, so I would still have spares. Just a thought.

Dang, they have gone up. To me it would be worth spending the money just to not have to change them out more than once. I hate those damn things.

It is just as easy as reindexing. Only takes about an hour to do.

11k for an axle swap?!? lol.
My fuggin' Calmini Tbars wont hold the lift for sh*^. I have cranked them over and over again. Now they need reindexing again. Kind of a pain, but worth it I guess.
Makes ya wonder though..

I have had no problems with the Sway Aways, They have not even sagged as I expected them to either. I like them much better.

Anything has got to be better than 145k mile stock torsion bars that have been wheeled hard. No matter how far I crank the driver's side bar, it always sags.. until I lift the truck up with a jack, then I have to back it off and it starts all over again!

haha
