Seriously John, it would take an hour and really help if you can't get the other ones before the AZ run. Let me know and I could drop them off this week sometime. If you wanted, you could even come by my place on Sunday afternoon and I could do one side while you did the other. We did this with Checos last weekend and made real quick work of it.

If I ever find out who invented the t bar suspension, I am gonna smack the dumb basturd. Why would someone come up with the idea of re inventing the spring? I mean, to this day, we all know a t bar sags like hell and rides like shit and is not even close to what I call heavy duty. Let's see, we can make a spring out of a straight bar of steel, or just use the 6 million year old coil spring techknowlogy? Fn STUPID!

datz510:
My stock torsion bars only lastes about 95,000 miles! I went snow wheeling in PA, and crackes one on a rock. Didn't know till a day later when I got back to VA, drove to work, drove it back, and woke up the next morning! I bought SAWs for an overnight delivery! So, now I have 115,000 miles on my truck (I bought w/88,000 miles) w/SAWs I won't need, and a spare stock torsion bar I won't need either. Come May, they're comin off and are sale (I'll list the for stuff in the "Auction" section later, after it's all my truck).

My tuck has over 201,000 miles on it. After installing my Procomp shocks, i had the Tbars cranked to even out the truck. The front was sagging pretty bad.

Now about a year later, my tbars are holding up pretty well.

I have my AC suspension lift sitting under my bed. I plan on getting some SAW tbars from AC when i install the lift.

You guys might not want to hear this but the physics of how a torsion bar and a coil spring flex are exactly the same. Coil springs work by actually twisting the steal as it compresses. A torsion bar is basically just a coil spring that has been straightened out. The main advantages of a coil is that they are compact compaired to most other types of springs. So the reason why out trucks ride crappy is due to the front suspension geometry and not the type of spring.

Frieto I have had to do the same to my Calmini torsion bars. Torked em back up once and now I have to reindex them.. and tork them again. Calmini assured me they would give me one for free if it broke... But that sounds dangerous out in who knows where. Any way if anybody else knows about these Tbars holding after all that torking or breaking let me know your story. I hope they will keep their integrity..

I've had mine cranked for two years now and for the last year or so, perhaps a bit high. Ride is fine, t-bars are fine... Ride isn't harsh. But the bumpstop-to-UCA clearance is pushing spec somewhat. Wink
