Greeting All,
I am new to the board & have a question. I noticed my 97 XE sitting alot lower in the front than the rear. Is there a way I can fix this without a lift? I just would like the truck to be level. Everything is stock. |

Yeah you can crank the torsion bars to even it out. If it's realy bad you may need to reindex the bars. I've had to do both at different times. I thought there was a how to in the howto forum. If not most any Hayes or chiltons will have the procedure.

Is it a Pathfinder or Hardbody Pickup? The pathfinders have coil springs up front, whereas the hardbody pickup has the adjustable torsion bars.

It is a Hardbody. I looked through the How To forum & couldn't find it.

Good call Datz. I forgot that the 96+pathy's have struts. Check the library for a manual if you don't want to buy one. I'd reccomend you get one or both.
