The price for the AC a-arms is $205.00. For the Calmini ones it is $349.95. Is the extra 150 bux worth it? The AC arms dont come with new balljoints, but I dont believe balljoints are $150.

I'll watch for used ones next time someone does an SAS. I am active on AC and NOR, so I may catch a good deal.

superlift or calmini. Rough country make a cheep set.

http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showtopic=7892

I went with a used set of superlift a-arms. I'm happy with what I got. AC A-arms are the cheapest also the most crappiest. From what I've read people are having the most problems with AC A-arms. Rought countrys are supposedly be identical to superlifts.

I have AC's chromolly upper control arms on my 95 pathfinder along with a trailmaster liftfor about a year now, and haven't had any problems with them. So far I am a happy Camper!

LordBiotree what types of problems are people reporting?

Stuff like them being hard to keep aligned and stuff. I bought a used set of the AC arms and my only complaint is that they're not the ones with the grease zerks so they squeak a lot. It's a small price to pay though, they seem really nice otherwise.

i have the calmini lift kit and have no problem with the upper arms. they just look stronger than the tube arms that ac uses. also at the top they are staight then bend down vs. just coming of the bushing and heading straight south. this lets you crank them a little more, i got 4in out of mine.

Yours didn't seem to squeak during the last DeSoto run. Do yours have the grease fittings?
BTW, AC arms are the best 'cause that's what I have now. smiley46

You either need to get a SMALLER picture, or take your existing large pic., put it in some sort of program to "re-size" it. (smaller..of course) And don't put that pic in the "Avatar" area....put it in your "Signature" area. Wink Hope this helps! Later...

Best way I know to shrink it is to save it to your PC and open it with Microsoft Paint. Shrink it there, then rehost and relink it. Experiment with the size. I don't know what size works, off hand. My sig pics are directly off the CarDomain page, unexpanded.
I went with AC arms because I got a used set really cheap. They have the fittings already. I would tell you how cheap, but you would probably puke. smiley24

I've had my AC arms for about 4 years and have problem after problem. I suggest the Superlift arms, you can get them from 4 Wheel Parts, but they are a special order, nobody stocks them.

I've not seen the Calmini arms, but here great things about them.
