Yo Leland, where did you get the rear leaf/shock protection?

Only one I have found is on AC's site and they look different to me than what you had.

Meh.

I have no idea which product you might be referring to or for what vehicle, but the only other leaf spring skids I know of are the Darlington ones:

I've got a set, had 'em a few months actually, but haven't gotten around to installing 'em yet. I know a few others with 'em though, they're pleased.

Yeah seen those. What does raising the shock do?

LeLand had some good ones on his X.. It think they may have been EOE, and aren't they caput?

It had some protection for the shock.

Raising the lower shock mount keeps it from getting bashed on rocks. If you get the Darlington ones, get the side mount. Top mount is overkill, and is asking to bottom out the shock unless you've got long shackles.

Thanks Brent. The shock on the side doesn't make the shock bottom out? I've got add a leaf, and 2 inch Spencer shackles with the longer Bilsteins.

A few Xterra owners I know of have the side-mount w/ AALs (which don't change travel) and it's perfect. It's the combo I'm going with, got nearly-new OEM packs with nearly-new SLR AALs on 'em waiting to swap in along with the Skidderz.

Well since Leland won't post up and I don't have his email, I guess I'm down to the Darlingtons or fab a protection piece for the shock mount on the stockers.

My rear shocks are taking a lot of hits there at the mount. In fact they will probably have to be cut off to get the shocks out.
