how do you reindex the front torsion bar seat?

It's like reindexing torsions on a VW in that you can do it fron two differetnt points.

Completely remove the tbar, turn a notch and reinstall.

i understand what you are saying, but i cannot uderstand how that does anything. you are saying if i were to take the bars completely off and reinstall them with the sticker pointing in a different direction, but left the rear adjuster pointing in the same direction as before (just a different spline) that i would have a different height?
i thought the front anchor was just a stationary anchor and it didn't matter which way the bar was facing Confused
i thought all the adjustment came from the rear anchor

Essentially, you are just moving which spline the rear anchor is on by rotating the bar in the front mount. You can also do this by just removing the adjuster from the back of the bar and rotating it one spline.

Bryan said he tried this but couldnt get the correct placement thus the reindexing form the front.

It's been awhile since I've done this so I could be wrong. Use a sharpie pen and put a line on the tbar and a line on the front seat so you have a reference point.

I usually just reindexed using whatever end came apart first. Never had a problem using just the rears too. I dont think the splines are different front to rear, they look the same at least..

okay good..
so i am not an idiot as i recently thought. i guess there was a misunderstanding on how to adjust them. i was like datz510 and just indexed it with the back because it came off first.

anyways... i got new instructions from TM (ones that i can read)and figured out what all the pieces are for. i plan to install the lift either next weekend or the one after. i will post pics

thanks a lot
