Okay so the last time out in the X I hit a hole on a little downhill. I slid down to the passenger side hard and when I came out of the hole my drivers rear came down hard.
On the little curvy embankments the rest of the way out I could hear a creak when the drivers side was loaded (going up on the embankments on the passenger side), seemed to come from the rear. So I'm looking for the noise tonight and I can make it creak going straight up the little curved street gutter in front of my house.........comes from the rear like tires area. and when I made a hard right turn at 5 mph. bouncing on it with all my weight (shut uuup) doesn't reproduce it. discuss.......  Meh. |

Take the shock off and try it again, just to make sure that's not it.

Spring eye bushing maybe....only groans when you're crossed up....I've had to replace mine. The rubber was all torn out and the sleeve was just floating around loose in there.

I just bought a box of the Fuente Short Stories. freakin buck forty. Dan I have some keepers I got at 4 Wheelers supply. It's a U that goes through a slotted plate and you bend the tops back after sliding them into the hole. Meh. |

Well, Andy and Will were right. Spring eye bushing was the culprit. No rubber left, the sleeve was just floating in there like Andys.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. So I'm going to ignore the power steering noise once in awhile. The new bumper is done and after an alignment, I think I'm calling the truck good for the run.  Meh. |
