Mad smiley44Hi,
Long Story-hopefully short.....Want to install aftermarket,"Ironman" Torsion bars on my '98 Frontier and have someone do an alignment after I get them on and do the 1st gen. lift of 2 inches[have them in garage in box], Tried to get firestone, discount tire, and Big-O to do it after I did put them on and all three either wouldn't do it because of aftermarket parts or wanted to put it back to the factory specs. and remove the 1st gen. lift I already did !! Does any one know of any shops that will do the alignment after I get the bars on and not go back to factory specs. I want the "Lift/Leveling" left on my truck! Also just had "4Wheelparts" on seventh st. "Phoenix" just put on new Pro-comp tires on my wheels....They wouldn't even mount the tires/wheels on my truck[had to do it myself] because the tires would rub on the plastic-moulding in the back [front tires] when you turned all the way left/right....265/75/16's "Pro-Comp's" on Nismo Wheels.....Bad Year So Far....AnyWay Does anyone have any shops out Here in "Arizona" West-Side [Peoria-Area] that won't give me a hard time????....Tom M.

It's hard to do an alignment without setting the truck back to factory specs. However you can aske them to lift the truck on the high side of the specs.

I always had sears do mine here. Only the master alignment would touch my truck. If any one of the younger guys did it they'll be fiddling with the alignment-6 hours.

I was wondering, If you installed the calmini uper A arms would this correct the alignment of the lifted condidion enough to make it easier for regular shops to do an alignment?

I have always done my own alignement with more success than taking it to the shop.

You'll need an alignment to set toe and camber.

Toe can be done the driveway. Camber is a little trickier.

As far as SL's and PML's go I have always done my own with no problem. Come to think of it, the camber bolts and and eccentric washers were done by a shop post SL. After that, I have done all T-bar adjustments.

Thanks for the Great Response from everyone, Talked to Jason [Service Department] at "Peoria Nissan" and Explained What I was up too and what I wanted Done,He told me that as long as "I" install the "Aftermarket" Torsion Bars they would do the Alignment "No Problem" at whatever Height I wanted it at! Now don't that Beat-All, Here in my own Back-Yard so to speak!!! I only live 10 Miles from them,so install Torsion bars, set my toe, boogey on up the road and get what I want and No Friggin Hassles! Okay I know it will drive like a Tank [heard that enough]It's a "Truck" not an "Infinity" for crap sake. Jason turned me on to his "Master Technician" Scott and Scott has been installing "Fabtech","Calmini",Pro-Comp,ETC.,ETC, and working Suspensions for years and has No Problem doing it. I would love to get the control arms, but after all I've spent in the last couple of months it will have to wait....Wife,Kids,House-Payment type of crap,ETC. .........Later Days....Tom M.
