i think i've decided to do a 3" body lift on my truck because i'm working at an engine shop and i can get aftermarket parts for cheap. i'll be buying the blocks themselves and getting my own bolts and making the relocation brackets. anyways, i just want to make sure it's possible. when i look at the kits it says for manual only. and when i searched for body kits on automatics i only came up with one installed on a floor mounted tranny. mine is on the column. is it possible to do this? from what i gather i just extend the steering column and notch the fan shroud and i'm good to go? thanks for the help, i can't wait to get going on this.

On most column shifted trannies that i have done body lifts on, nothing had to be done as far as linkage goes but i have never done one on a column shifted Nissan before b/c they are pretty rare.

I have no clue why they say no autos, the auto is cable-shifted and there's a ton of slack in it. Fits perfectly fine. Mine's an auto.

the shifter on a coulumn shift is not cable actuated, there's a linkage. i just took some threaded rod, measured it up and made a longer linkage. other that that it went smoothly and i think it looks bad ass, just need bigger tires for sure.

That’s a pretty tall 2WD. Rarely see a 2wd with a body lift.
