I was just on the Calmini site looking at lift kits and saw their 3" kit, AWESOME!!. But I am really looking for at least 4" or more. Right now I'm running 35-12.50-15's made possible by a 1.5" coil spacer in the rear and maxed out T.bars in the front, 3" body lift kit and serious fender trimming. Unfortunatly this is killer on front end components, which I seen coming. Is a kit the only solution or are there other tricks I can use to stay with my must-have 35's? Any and all comments welcomed! Thanks. Pics are in Pathfinder 95& older Forum

The following is taken from Hawaiian Hardbody's Site.

The front suspension consists of torsion bars, upper and lower control arms, and shock absorbers. The suspension can be raised 1.5 to 2.5 inches by increasing the torsion bar preload. Too much preload will reduce down travel and drastically alter the suspension, steering and wheel alignment, which causes rapid and uneven tire wear and handling problems. Aftermarket upper control arms provide better suspension geometry and alignment for trucks with more than 2.5 inches of torsion bar lift. Trail Master’s 4 inch suspension lift utilizes dropdown brackets which doesn’t require “cranked” torsion bars to achieve lift, but can be combined with an upper-control-arm lift for more than 4 inches of lift.

Either that or wait for Calminis SAS kit. The best solution by far.

Ya I saw the sas kit. It was Sweet, but I would like to see how much I can get from my IFS set up. Hitting the centre of rutts with a plow (solid axle) is not good for momentum. The little wheelin I've done so far has really proven that! I've, made it through spots where solid axle rigs havent!!! I'm not going to give up yet on IFS. But I agree about their weakness. I have plans to go totally custom and rock solid. Key word being "plans"... it has to happen first(LOL)!!! Thanks! Your ideas as well as others are greatly appreciated!

Keep your eyes on the boards and ebay for Trailmaster kits. I saw one recently over at 4x4parts.com used for sale.
