Anyone know how much lift I would get with 2001 F150 coils?
Thanks

Don't know. The popular ford coils that most guys are using with their Pathfinders are out of the older Ford trucks with twin I beam front ends. The newer fords use upper and lower A arms and I don't know the difference in the coil length between those and the old ones.

But wait - you have a Hardbody? HB's use leaf springs in the rear....you don't have anyplace that would accept the coils...

No, he used to have an HBody, Pathy now.

Not sure on the cois either, seems like the diameter is different. Just measure the diameter. Reason most go with the older ones is due to diameter, and availablity.

Yeah I still have the Hardbody but I just bought a Pathfinder a couple weeks ago. I wasnt even thinking about the difference in the Ford suspensions, I was just browsing through ebay and saw those, haha. This is my first 4x4 vehicle and where I live (Orlando) it will see very little rough off-road terrain. I mainly want a little lift and 31's just for the looks, but the more I read about CV axle binding, and steering problems I'm starting to think I may be better off with a set of 15x7's and 30x9.5x15's, i do want to sit higher but for the small amount of off-roading i will do, stock suspension and a nice set of 30's may suit my needs better.

Stock is never enough...You can put on the 31's with no lift...You just have to crank the torsion bars up a little. As for binding...I haven't had any. I've had my t-bars cranked for about a year and a half, and I just re-indexed them and cranked some more and I still don't have binding. Steering problems is really for the serious off-roaders. I don't push mine to hard and I haven't had problems yet. If you are just going for looks then you should be fine....

Damn 95FinderItaly...I would like to know what your doing, I have a stock suspension with 31" and my steering is going whack. Give yourself some time with those new lifts and tires...even street driving will wear those steering componets.

Thanatoz, my steering really help up fine while stock and I pounded it. You have seen how I beat my truck. You are right though, as soon as I lifted and threw bigger tires on with more offset the steering started fading fast.

Maybe it's the offset. My rims have about factory offset. In think close to 4" BS. My tires don't stick out at all. Every once and awhile I do hear funny noises coming from the truck. I just want it to hold out for another month or so until I ship it to Alaska.
