There will be a set of BDS leaves for sale soon. They'll work on an IFS HB or Frontier. They just don't have enough arch to get the height for a SAS.

6" lift leaves are on the way. I'll get to run a shorter shackle too. I'm mimicking Robin's spring specs for the springs he had on his truck, with a little bit of additional spring rate to compensate for the cage and the shell.

You're going to dig them.

Robin ordered the same springs my GF had Alcan make for her SAS'ed Fronty. The only difference between them is that Robin added a set of the longer SLR shackles given that the rear bumper he built is one heavy mofo.

You should have seen his old spring packs when they came off. Totally torqued with S-bends in them.

Good choice with the 6" lift. The 4" lift K5's are not enough for my truck. I'll eventually upgrade to the 6" lift springs.

Alan, they'll provide about 2-3" over stock and more with longer shackles.

I'll probably be asking $200 for them...about half of retail price.

Confused The bottom overload leaves were left out. I would think that takes some of the blame.

Welp, the UPS guy came today. $578 shipped with Ubolts. These puppies got some arch to them. I'm hoping with a 2" shorter shackle I can still get 2" more lift out of them.

Welp, I bolted them in after work today. My 5112's are too short now! I didn't anticipate needing new shocks. I may also need to notch my Xmember for driveshaft clearance at full droop. Has anyone done this?

I went from 7" shackles with the BDS springs to 5" Toyota shackles and still netted almost 4 more inches of lift....it's pretty tail high now and has me thinking about SOA in front just to level it. I hope it comes out of the garage....it's gonna be close! The 33's on back look dinky now. I'm hoping they settle an inch or so.

I also had to cut the ends of the shock mount studs off because they were rock mangled, but I should still have enough to get a nut and washer on what remains. Anyone know the size and thread pitch of those nuts on the stock spring plates?

Lastly, they supplied some beefy 9/16" Ubolts, so I had to drill out the holes on the spring plates too. Nice having a little more beef there. I had to sawzall one of the old Ubolts too due to rock damage Devil

I'm considering limiting straps in back. These things are going to droop MAD! We'll see. I'll try to get some pics this weekend. I'm tired now, and it's dark outside.

What was the stroke of the old shocks and what do you think the new ones will be? I'm looking forward to seeing the pics. I vote for spring over in the front & 35's just to have the meanest standard cab out there.

If you're going to run a limiting strap, use one in the middle. It won't restrict articlation. For the shocks, you can change the lower mount to a higher, more protected spot. I'm still waiting for some dough to order my springs.

I'm looking forward to the pics. With my SOA I sit nose high with BDS springs and Daystar Supershackles. I need about 4 more inches to level everything and I still would like to do a u-bolt flip and relocate the shocks.

I've got the opposite problem, my front is higher than the rear. I've got 4" lift springs out back with 5-1/2" shackles. SOA will raise your front a lot, especially with the wagoneer 3” lift springs.

Thats why you go with non-lift leaf springs.
