Hello. I have a 1996 terrano/mistral auto. I just recently got new shocks fitted which was great but I still have very bad roll in the chassis eg lurching going around corners and very bad shock absorbstion eg very hard vibrations throughout the body if im on rough roads. What could better stabilise the 4x4 or is it a whole chassis suspension issue? The shocks helped but I still have v bad roll and shock absorbtion.

regards

Hello can you please advise me on this.
1: is the rollbar 2: is the ball socket
3: is the arm coming from the bottom arm.

The arm is loose and I can rotate it from this picture does it look like I need new bushing and new arms and can anyone tell me if it should be able to rotate around the ball? When I rock the suspension theres a banging sound against the arm. Can ye advise on a new kit?

honestly, those don't look that bad. How are the balljoints?

get a jackstand under the lower control arm and start trying to wiggle the wheel. Is there any slop anywhere?

There should be no up and down slop in that balljoint on the anti-sway bar. If there is slop, you'll need to order a new balljoint to replace it.

Hey thanks for the reply. I jacked it up and did as you said and there is a clinking metallic sound from the ball joint and it "pops" up and down and twists by nearly 120 degrees as if I can rotate the whole ball joint arm/bar almost off the ball!! Helps when you jack it up I suppose !! I ordered two new ball joints and bushings from ebay.
Thanks
