The white mess, buford, brian and I decided that we would go out and play in the local mountains on some pretty fun boulders. So we met early in the morning with the intention of a day of decent crawling.

The first outcropping of honda sized boulders was much fun with the white mess easily sailing over the pebbles under its tires, whereas I promptly high centered buford. Big Grin Some pushing from Brian and I was off of the boulder pile.

We got to about twenty feet from the end of the trail when i watched the white mess that is 56 feet in the air, drop into a gigantic mud pit. Eek All four 35" tires were completley submerged.

We promptly proceeded to winch the mess out of its muddly dilemma, and we decided to turn around. The pathfinder did remarkably well on the quad trail, but my long wheel base frontier did not do so well. (if you were on the AZIV run then youll appreciate this next part)

The next turn was extremley sharp, and i had two options, scrape the entire side of the truck on the right or go over the SUV sized boulder on the left. The end result was a Terence slider pushed into the body, way worse than last time, and some dented body panels. Frown

Stopping for lunch we came to some nasty ledges in which even the mess had to use some goose juice to get up, but it eventually did with flying colors. Chug After the ledges there was a "bitch" class obstacle but much steeper and longer, and the white mess walked right up it, like it was a dirt road. Smile Refusing to be shown up, I went almost to the top and got high centered like a teeter totter lol At this point the suggestion was made "just floor it" Big Grin to which me being conservative and not wanting to break anything, said "OK", lol so with all four spinning and the front end bouncing we heard a loud and familiar sounding POP. Passenger side halfshaft broke. Bawl So we decide to call it a day and we start out.

As we hit the access road, the white messes tranny sounds like it is giving birth to a baby elephant. Frown Realizing the tranny is toast, we hook up a tow strap to buford and tow the mess 97 miles home, which was a bit stressfull, but was much cheaper than a tow. Smile

So essentially we have crippled two out of our three built rigs in san diego Frown

Chuck, your on your own for a little bit. lol
