Here they are...

We didn't get to far in we had some trouble with SuperV3K's Frontier (I'm sure he'll explain) but we did have a great time.

Brad, very nice to meet your gonna fit in well with the group and you do your 4x2 justice, very impressive.

BTW - We had a full sized F250 V10 with us it did great... only really scraped it's butt one time.

These PIC's don't do the trail justice our next time out we'll get to the fun stuff..

Looks like you had some fun. And I say what Desert Rat says. Stripped anchor?

The suspension would go down and sit on the bumpstops if the Tbar anchor gave.

You guys are good. Yep, rear driver's side anchor stripped.

If it was the UCA, I wouldn't think the truck would be driveable.

The front susp did "collapse", essentially riding on the bumpstops (that Calmini front shock was completely compressed and did NOT look like it was having a good time.)

No tire rubbing, though.

To take the strain off the front, I took it out of 4wd and drove out in 2wd. Unfortunately, with the driver's side sagging like that, the passenger rear tire was completely unloaded, so traction was a beeotch. We put the spare tire in that corner, along with 5 gallons of water that I had and another 5 gallons that Brad had (thanx, man) and that helped the traction considerably.

As it was, Matt still had to strap me a few times in simple spots because the back end would not hook up.

Many thanx to Matt for the straps, and many thanx to Brad for following me all the way back to my house to make sure I made it in one piece.

It was nice to pull into the comfort of my garage.

Smile

Unfortunately, we cut the trip short due to my breakage and Matt's family from out of town weren't able to get to the gnarly parts. Hopefully they'll have an opportunity to get back out here and do it again.

Any ideas why the rear anchor splines would break off? Something stupid I did? Now I'm concerned that the passenger side might let loose while on the highway at speed (that would be a clenching moment, to be sure).

Btw, Brad did some great driving in the 2wd Fronty, even climbing a really gnarly exit out of a wash that I had to be strapped up. Gave me a new appreciation for 4wd and low range.

Regards,

-matt
