were those the all wheel drive Volvo? Three canoes on top of a car? wonder how well that handled down the highway.

No both were FWD only. I wish I had the cross country version (more clearance and AWD). At least I get about 26-28mpg with my FWD model.

On the highway, we usually hold 70-75mph with 2-3 canoes on the roof. The secret is ratchet straps! Big Grin
I'm surprised no one made fun of me with my offroad trip report. The Team Volvo run was no AZrun for sure!
