x2 (edit) now I'm coughing, whew! ..................... "Climate change is no longer science. It's politics... Climate change is also about power. Power to control.... It's about who gets to decide: how much energy we will have... where that energy will come from... what it will cost... It's about simulations, scenarios and monsters conjured up by computer models that should never be used to chart government policy -- especially on matters that will profoundly affect our livelihoods, living standards, life spans and dreams of a better future. Nice pics! Looks like a fun run for sure.
I woulda stuck around at the meeting spot at the Chevron but had to bail to meet w/ a client...who later cancelled. I had planned on bring "the turd" to see if it would go further than a few blocks around my house, but had to take the Armada instead... Someday the Scout will be ready. On about the 3rd try climbing up, it went BANG. The pics with the purple truck on that little incline. V6, no crawler gears, 5 speed, and 4.38 gears. Am really surprised it went. I thought it was a halfshaft in front, but those were in good shape. He confirmed it when he could only spin one rear wheel afterwards
Which has got me thinking.... Could it have been the lockrite that broke? 1998 Frontier 4x4, 2002 Xterra 4x4, and Z28 street rocket Pass here and go on. You're on the road to heaven - Kerouac |

Looks like fun. I too have broke a rear axle, I have pics on my website. Mine broke when I had 33's and no locker, only a factory LSD. I wish I had a cool story behind it but I dont.

See the writeup in the SWANKy forums. http://nissan4wheelers.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/146605233/m/40010594421/p/4
The way the locker is constructed, I don't think it could power a wheel if it broke. I drove it home in 2wd. -Spike 'Tolerance allows the weeds to overwhelm the garden' |
