Your going to have to drop the track bar mount lower from the frame or raise it higher from the axle for high steer. How much up travel do you have? Mine has about 5" up at the coilover and 9.25" before the tire hits the bumpstop (fender).

my steering is not lined up right now, but if i go to crossover or high steer it will be perfect.

I have 6" up and 6" droop on the coilover.. no bumpstops.

and the fenders are cut as to not hit the fender, it's a close fit but they don't touch.

Your just putting a band aid on the steering. Rocks are going to hit the tie-rod when kept down low. No matter how tall of lift or how mcuh up and down travel you have, rocks are still going to be close to your steering.

On a serious note- If your going to buy one high top knuckle, might as well buy the other or a matched set. I has the same questions about high-steering on my dana 44.

My tierod isn't on hi steer and after 4 years I've done only minimal damage to it in the rocks.

you can overcome a lot with a little careful wheel placement and driver skill. Besides, if you're into something where you hit the tierod....if you have hi steer, that only means you're going to go another 3 inches before that rock hits the axle. Either way forward progress stops.

I wouldn't consider it a bandaid... because nothing is broken, high steer really doesn't "Fix" anything. it's just another steering setup. and i'd agree with andy.. you are only going to go another 3 inches before before progress stops.

and i'd agree with andy, "a lot can be accomplished with careful tire placement and driver skill."

and being that i'm not one to use a lot of the skinny pedal, I figure i'll be fine.

My steering is up high and above the springs. I would probably have to go out of my way to hit it on something.
