Gnarly...I like that word.

Well heck, if a Libery can do it, something tells me a mildly modified, or even stock, 1992 Pathy could make it, granted it has some good tires. Would I be comitting the sin of rock-stacking? Possibly.

Holy crap, an X90 on the trail! That's great!

As for the mexican LSD, I'm seriously considering doing this, and have been for a while. I've already got my LSD behaving much better than stock by running non-LSD gear oil, but the extra disc set is maybe $50 or less as I recall, and the install doesn't appear to be all that difficult. No gear lash etc. to deal with since you're putting all the same stuff back together again. Just need to find the time to do it and convince the wife to let me take the truck out of service for a weekend, or longer if I bite off more than I can chew.

I wish I would've known there was a Nissan on the Rubi... I would have gone too!

I can't believe there was an X-90 up there eek... now I really need to do the Rubi in my truck. Pictures and words really don't do the rubicon justice until you've been there and seen some of the vehicles that go thru there and the rocks they climb over. I've only been to Spider lake in my old 92 wrangler and ended up crushing both rocker panels, bending my t-case crossmember and wasting my u-joints.
As far as the Libery making it, there's a lot of bypasses around the exteme hard stuff. If it had to go thru Sluice, that thing ( or any other stock rig) would get wasted eek

95 WD-21 Video system- otherwise stock.
95 D-21 with some trail goodies!
Tony Stewart didn't hit me!

Brent, running non-LSD oil...I'm guessing you're wearing out the stuff in there much faster than you would when you have the correct oil in there, right?

Jim is one helluva good driver. He's alot of fun to wheel with Duerk. I'm sure you'll meet him during the AZ Run, if not sooner.

That bumper/winch/brushguard thing he's got on the front is quite interesting. Are there any closeups of that thing?

DUDE, that is friggin awesome!!! Imagine the campfire tales that are going to stem from that!

I want some gears!!

Marshall, how in the hell are you driving that you only think your clutch is only going to last another 9 months? My truck is 4 years old and pretty sure it still the original clutch, Hell I've had for 2 and there is no signs of slipping. Maybe you should have got an automatic! smile

No kidding, 130,000 later my Ranger still has the original clutch no problems. You must drive with the thing pushed halfway down. Smell that burning?
