OK I will get this fixed and carry a spare just in case. The part shouldn't have failed after two years of use, it shouldn't fail at all. It did fail and I will go with an after market part not one from the dealer. I still need to have a talk Complain with them. As for a new rig I may get a $3-4000 for this if lucky. And buying something else is starting from square one. When the jeep is running it goes a lot of places. I too, have a budget and only do things when they break or are part of upkeep. I am looking for away to fix this where I feel ok about it, but I will most likely going to fix it and just not worry about it or think it is ok. I can always sell the jeep and will most likely never replace it, for I will say I can't afford to buy and fix another vehicle up to running trail quality.

Lately if it wasn't for the bad luck I would have no luck at all. Replaced the Ignition Switch tonight and still won't stay running.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line and see if its maintaining the proper fuel pressure. if not, its either the pump or you have an obstruction in the filter or a strainer somewhere.

I'm not sure if its the fuel pump. When he would put it into the on position you could hear the pump cycle.

The pump can be running and not provide enough flow/pressure... I've seen it happen. he'll need to get an EFI fuel pressure test gauge on it to see what the pressure is at the injector rail.

Don't give up on your jeep GOAT. Those who are not of the herd don't understand you can replace ANYTHING on a jeep from the aftermarket. You can also deconstruct them to make things easier to work on or replace. Heck the Sheep is only about 60% stock anymore. After a few more years it'll be completely replaced!

id have to look at a wiring diagram, but it sounds like an ignition switch. Do you run many accessories off of the oem ignition switched 12v wiring? you might be overloading the switch and burning it up. i believe the ignition switch on that vehicle is on the steering column under the dash.

no I run a relay which triggers all other relays.

Hello everyone, I would like you to meet Mr relay.

Mr relay was a bad boy on sunday up til tonight. now what did he do you ask. He decided to kill my engine/fuel pump when not cranking. So he is now not alowed to play with "Road Hazzard" any more. I will be taking suggestion on what to do with him?
