On my 89 and 92 pathys I used to have a switch in the dash that would release the rear glass without having to use the key...was the most usefull thing ever since I could leave the truck running and still access the cargo space with fully opening the tail gate. but seems that they decided it wasnt usefull and is not installed on my 98. I am planning on wiring a release switch (hopefully its electric like the old setups...havent looked yet) in the near future and wondering if anyone else has done this.

Yeah, I love my glass switch, its odd they took them out of the R50s. I hope they still have the solenoid back there for you to wire up.
