Hahaha! That's funny! Surely you jest! Your C: drive is not accessible to the world, you know. big grin Unfortunately, I no longer have that image hosted on my site, so you'll have to find some other way of sending it to orange4ska.

Howdy MAAC82! Welcome to N4W!

Nice to see another 4 wheeler from Australia. We've got quite a few OZ folks on here now.

Snatfinder.. to be honest with you, I dont have a lot of time right now for fabricating stuff. I'm still deep in the process of moving houses. I've got all my stuff in the new house, but its just been one thing after another that needs to be repaired, with no end in sight. Most of my whole house is still in boxes and I cant find a lot of my garage equipment.. My air tools, and air hoses are still lost in the boxes. I did find the welder, chop saw, and bench grinder though. Still missing my angle grinders and whatnot.

If I do get some time, I may be able to do a set of sliders, but I'd have to say no on the bumper. I could make a set of sliders in a day, but a bumper would take several weekends, which I dont have the time for right now. One other concern of mine is the durability of the unibody of the R50. I actually kinked the frame on my Pathy with a good hit on my own 1/8" box-steel sliders. The sliders themselves were fine, but with enough force, the frame of the truck itself gave out. If the unibody subframe is anything less than 1/8" thick steel, Im not sure how the sliders could be mounted and be durable enough to meet my standards. I dont want to build something if its not going to be strong enough for serious use.

Just and FYI, Dean Thayer has sliders welded on that have been pretty beat. Snatfinder, you may want to check with him on design. His name is Xplorx4 on the boards.

yeah I know Dean(well not really, but on the boards) I post a decent amount on A-C... not a whole lot on n4w though. I'll try to get a look at his sliders. I'm pretty sure his were from a guy in California...
oh, and here's a pic of my path if you're still lookin for 'em.

Yep, Dean's sliders work well. I've wheeled with him through the Bradshaw mountains here in AZ. Smile

Looking at the link that puffdc posted, the mounting scheme looks a little more involved compared to what I normally build.. Conservatively, I would estimate that a set of these would take about 2 days of work to make. This includes the machine work to make and fit the plates for each mounting point, welding the main slider bodies, and then mating the slider body to the mounting points (hardest part). I'd need to have the truck on hand for both days for test fittings, adjustments, and then finally to spotweld them in place on the truck for a precise fit before the final welds are done.
