That would be pretty cool if Calmini came out with a drop bracket system and converted over to coil-overs. I imagine it wouldn't be that difficult to convert over from struts.

All I gotta say, is that would be a sweet lift kit if it came out that way.

A buddy of mine bought the Fox shox kit for his Taco. Those coil-overs are nice. All sorts of adjustments that can be easily made. I hope you R-50 guys get that kind of lift. IMO, you would have the best lift kit available for a Nissan.

Another option for Calmini is to use a catridge struts like Koni, develop a housing for it, move the lower spring plate up a little to accomodate for larger tires and add adjustable cambers. This can be done for lift from 2"-3".

If we can get this let say for 3" lift, put 32" on we'll have about 4" of lift and with proper camber setting. smile

Yes as you all know Calmini is the culprit. I had to stoke the fire a bit. Here's at least my latest info from Calmini:
"Here at CALMINI we are working directly with Nissan for the SEMA show to build a rock ready Pathfinder. As soon as the parts and pictures are available, they will be posted to the website. If you have any specific questions, please call the sales office. Thank you for your interest in the CALMINI Nissan line. Awaiting your call."
And there you have it; our wait may be coming to an end. From what I understand we can all have a lift done on our rides yet it does cost a lot of $$$ and there are no guarantees on what the lift may effect when customized. Calmini I beleive is on the right track.

Here the info about the calmini pathy:

Holbreck Pathfinder

Holbreck Pathfinder goes far beyond the necessities for a high quality Sport Utility Vehicle. Such features include American Racing 16-inch chrome wheels, Pro-Comp 275/70/16 tires, CalMini 2-inch suspension lift, Ramsey rear winch, PIAA lights, ski rack, ARB mini refrigerator and HKS exhaust system. The body style is enhanced with a DJ Motorsports custom grille with mountain scene, MC Guard wheel locks, hidden rear hitch and front and rear taillight grille guards. The interior of the Pathfinder is an accomplishment as well, with Woodview Blackwood dash kit, Weather Tech floor and cargo mats, Katzkin tan and black leather seats, tinted front windows and two headrest televisions with a DVD player.

I hope I don't come off like an ass, but here goes.

First I think that's GREAT that Calmini took some interest in the R-50 and it looks like great bumpers and sliders.

BUT, why the trouble with 2" lift? That has been around for quite a while thanks to Dean. It should be a true drop bracket system of 4" to get some real tires in there, IMHO. I think to some it sounds like alot of lift, but it really isn't, especially with the R-50. Also, a drop bracket system is going to be pricey, but worth it considering you guys don't have t-bars.

--just my unasked opinion. I'm hoping it is a misprint or Calmini has something else planned instead of the 2". cool

Im hoping they have a 4 inch lift as well. That lift looks like more than two inches, but it is hard to tell because of those bumpers. The bumpers I think look good, and give quite a bit of clearance for approach and departure angles. Swapping out my 2 inch springs for 2 inch coilovers doesnt really make too much sense for me. The coilovers will probably improve ride quality, but I am satisfied with my current ride characteristics. Oh well, we shall just have to wait and see.

they have to be @ least 3" to fit 32"s under there, i'm still going w/the assumption that they're 4"...
the coil overs 2" or whatever are gonna be worth it for me, i'm tired of having the back be taller than the front (booty up in the air) the coil overs will allow us to level it out kinda like torsion bars. so, i'm really anxious for these bad boys & rear tire carrier...woo hoo!!!

Well, that's an interesting description, but it's not the Calmini truck featured above. Those aren't Pro-Comp tires (they're BFG MTs), it deosn't have taillight gaurds or front tinted windows, the FRONT winch is a Warn HS9500i, and the interior isn't modified as described. It's possible that Calmini fabbed up a second prototype lift for this "Holbreck" truck, but the Calmini truck in the photo isn't the same one described.
