So i recently purchased a 1999 pathy 4wd and i need to know if tires that are 265/75/R16 (i have after market 16 inch rims that fit on it) will these fit on this vehicle without any fabrication to the fenders?

Funny, there's someone else w/ the same name and same problem...
YOu might try measuring the diameter w/ a tape measure- are they closer to 31" or 32" diameter?

What's the backspacing?

What's on there now?

the only reason there is two is cuz i didnt see it on here for like half an hour so i made a new one then they both popped up....but im sure the back spacing is the same as stock...and the stock 235/75/R15 are on there now...i just don't know if 265's will fit i pick the car up tomorrow so i am hoping to put them on but if someone advises against that i will not do it.

THey may or may not, depending on the ultimate diameter. I'm thinking that's between 31-32" range. My guess is they will no matter how deep the tread. But don't take that for an endorsement.

Most tire shops will vouch for fitment- or advise against it.

What kind of tires did you want to get?

My brother has 255/70r16 on his but I think that might be stock for the 4x4s. There's room for something larger but not much. 265/75 might be really tight.

Mine is 2wd and has smaller tires...

I think the SEs came with larger tires while the XE and LEs regardless of 2wd or 4wd have the smaller tires. I know my Q came with the larger size which is hardly 30". THe caR50 had something like 29" tires stock.

Get one mounted in front then ramp it on a few curbs to see if it rubs. Swap that one to the back if all is good and do the same.

Test good?- do all 4.

I've got 255/70 R16s on my 2003 and they fit fine.

The 265/70 R16 should just be a 31 which should just fit on there with little to no problems

I have 265/70/16r on my 01 xterra se, and I had to trim the inside of my mud flap mounts on the front wheels to stop them from rubbing
