Sorry, don't know anything about the lift. System-F might have some info.

Yeah my info is , I built my own..

I can tell you what the truck is going to do with the lift , front end wise, how it's going to handle/steer and problems you will have. But I have no experience with L&P.

That said, we see this a lot...People who are friends with the company owner will defend the company and downplay the individual's experience. It's understandable. No one wants to see shit talking about their friends. Still, facts are facts.

The moral: Buyer beware. I know these guys from the boards, but I don't think I'd buy from someone who wouldn't give out a phone number.

Sounds like there's been some good experiences with these guys to, and in their defense, they are a brand new start up and probably have a few bugs to iron out before they can build a solid reputation.

FWIW, if I was asking about parts from a new company, I'd want to hear others' experiences too, good or bad.

Wouldn't give out a phone number? Who told you we wouldn't give out a phone number???? You want a phone number, here you go: My personal number, call after 6:30PM Central time M-F, all day Saturday and Sunday, 217-351-8316

As for "the facts are the facts", you're only hearing one side, till now.

We've addressed this on other boards too, as I'm sure you all know, email isn't perfect. And yes, we've been having some problems, and at a MOST inoppertune time. We only put out quality products, that's why it sometimes takes us longer.

I also don't want to get into bashing anybody here, be it other vendors, or upset people. As you'll soon see, it's all worked out.

Oh, and BTW, not sure who the "friends" are you're talking about, but I've only met a few people in person from the Nissan community, and NONE of them have posted in this topic.

Read the rest of the thread Phil....there's a couple guys talking about the phone number thing. As for friends....we all have online friends too.

Am trying to be objective here and to keep this from turning into a vendor bashing thread, because we don't need that - no one does. Thanks for coming on and clearing the air. Hopefully everything works out between L&P and Deez.

Things have been worked out. I was able to talk to Lee last night on AIM and iron things out. He was very nice and apologized for the communication problem which they are in the process of fixing. L&P does care about their customers and is making it up to me. As Phil said, their email has failed them at an inopportune time, and I unfortunatly was in the middle of it. I will be getting my centerlink soon. Big Grin

Do you get any additional articulation up front with this type of lift, or do you just get to clear bigger tires.

P.S. Did this thread just get all warm and fuzzy or is it just me?

Hey deez, sorry if i came off as harsh...

I was using a line from one of my favorite movies, Braveheart.

Stephen, when he asks if he gets to kill English, and then he starts to talking to himself, he's asked if he "Converses with God". At the end of his response, he says, "just answer the f*ing question".

That quote always comes to mind whenever I see somebody ask a question, only to get a response that doesn't have anything to do with the question. Just haven't had a good chance to use it, yet.

No more articulation up front is allowable on the R50 Strut suspension without doing a solid axle swap. I am looking at the airbag struts to see if they allow more travel as that can be 'forced' articulation and they should work fine with the L&P lift...

Well, good luck to you at L&P. I hope I see you around longer than EOE (Extreme Offroad Equipment). An old buddy of mine from PA (with whom I've lost contact) started that venture, but they seem to have disappeared. Anyway, good luck, and there will ALWAYS be a dis satisfied customer, like it or not! My dad gets it in his piano repair/tuning business too (he's one of the best in the midwest!).

EOE isn't dead, Todd does plan to get back in business when he has a chance. With the kids etc. he just doesn't have time. He still posts now and then at nissanoffroad.net as FSRBiker, look him up.

Thanx OffroadX. Say, you the guy with the yellow X I wheeled with in PA about 3-4 years back? Haven't talked to Todd in ages, and the EOE site has been kinda stale, so I was wondering if he was still in business. That's good that he's just taking a breather. Havn't been over to nissanoffroad.net (at least too long ago to remember). I'll check it out. Thanx.

I have absolutely no experience with this company, so take this with a grain of salt, but over the past few years, I have noticed a bit of a pattern with Nissan aftermarket companies. Granted, 100 people will hear 1 bad experience, and 1 person will hear about 100 good experiences, but I have heard quite a few more bad than good.
I have noticed that companies with good customer service ship orders out the DAY they are taken in, and if they are backordered, or require more time, then the customer is not billed until the item ships out.

Well put Mikey. But I just think there are too many Nissan owners that like complaining (and I can be one of them at times, I know), and are maybe venting a little pre-maturely. But, yes, well put Mikey. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Ha ha. I think I was the guy that paid for a CL, never sent a core, and never paid a core charge. But I never went on any boards getting all pissy, either. I just didn't have time and my truck was steering OK, so I didn't worry about it. I sent the core about a week and a half ago, and I sent an email requesting some other information. I imagine that my email was lost during their recent problems, so I will call them. Thanks for the phone number, Phil, I'll try calling you later today.
