Hey all,
I have owned a '98 SE, 5spd for a couple of months now and I swear this thing gets pretty poor gas mileage. My first time computing told me that it gets only 12mpg in the city! I'm going to compute again with this next tank, maybe I messed up somewhere. What are others getting with a similar vehicle? I have regular M/S 31.5" tires on the truck.
Thanks,
Mike

How are your tires wearing? What pressure do you run them at?

Changed the air filter? If that's clogged you'll see an increase after new one installed.

I get 15-16mpg with 32" tires and about 600lbs of extra steel on the truck, plus 4" of lift. Before that I would get 18mpg. Something is wrong with your calcualtion or driving style?
