Has anyone changed the spark plugs in a 3.5L? I need a little insight into the process as it is not as simple as a regular plug change (a definately not as cheap).

My biggest concern is removal of the individual coils from the plugs (after removal of the bolt is it a straight puill off?), removal of the throttle body (anything I need to watch for?).

I'll know in a couple days when I pick up my new 01 3.5LE Big Grin

I bet they just pull off though, as you said.

Yeah hehe I can't wait. I'll be modding it. There's some cars around here that need to get whooped...at the track of course.

Definantly. I'll have a DD so I can pull the engine out of the old one and fix everything. I'll be tempted to take the engine out of the new one and stick it in the old one....but that would leave me with two non-running Pathfinders. And I don't need that Wink

The old one is getting new exhaust from the engine back, Z31 turbo manifold studs, some new seals, and a good cleaning. If I'm really bored it's getting MegaSquirt. Gotta fix the door locks too.

I had a look at the plugs today. Looks like a pain to change them. The passenger side will be easier if you have the perfect-length extension. The driver side...yuk. Try to remove the coil without removing the throttle body. It's gonna be close but it might fit.

I just noticed you first posted this back in October. Were you able to change the plugs?
