Hi, I just wanted to say hi and to tell you i look foward to asking questions here smiley29

Im trading in my 2001 VW golf GL for a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder se with 73,000 miles. Im picking it up wendsay i think. I wanted the dealer to get an allighnment and to get a transmission cooler line leak fixed. Is there anything i should look at in particular on this truck? Tranny ect? Im a mechanic but you never really know.

I use to own a 1995 toyota Sr5 pickup before the VW BTW. Im not new to 4 wheeling smiley22

the AT's are stout and will last long time- if the fluid stays fresh. Might want to dump it and throw in some fresh dexron3 when you take possession- as well as all other fluid changes- for piece of mind.

Yeah i always do that, Its so worth it. Plus like you said. I dont like to be 4 miles on the long island beaches and break down. I cant wait to pick it up. I never thought i could afford a Pathfinder Beer sign

The only thing i might change before i go on the beach is the tires. Do you happen to know the tire size?

The tire size will be on the door jamb or you can look it up on tirerack.com for an SE, the LE and XE same year were smaller. Make sure the struts have been changed, they usually go bad by now. Do a search on rear control arm bushings, something to watch out for. Also the mileage is low, but you are still probably due for a timing belt change on a 97 soon.
