Just changed my plugs. The back one was a pain. One thing that REALLY made it possible was a mirror gizmo I crafted to help guide in the plug and wrench. Just take a ladies compact make-up mirror from your lady friend and tape it to a carefully bent coat hanger with duct tape. Position it in the back of the engine so you can get the proper angle. Oh, and be sure to put return the mirror.

Did you used the spark plug tool in the Nissan tool kit?

I have not changed them on 2nd generations yet, but have heard that these make the job easy.

Yes, the tool kit was needed for the rear plug though I used my ratchet set for the others. The Nissan kit definitely made the job easier. The biggest problem was locating the plug back there after the plug wire was removed and guiding it in thereafter - that's where the mirror gizmo REALLY helped.

Hey guys, and ladies who lost their compacts,

The tool you have just described is called an AngleLight, and I just happen to know the manufacturer. If anybody is interested in purchasing such an item let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Product patented.

There is a tool to help do this? Anyone have a picture of it?

yeah, there is a long and short sparkplug socket (basically a pipe w/ hex ends) in the toolkit. There is also a handle that sticks through the socket that you turn it with. One socket (I believe the short one) uses the slotted end and the other uses the round end of the handle.

I have seen that. That's in the "kit" under the rear seat. I was wondering what the heck all of that stuff was. It's not in the owners manual as I recall. Now it makes sense. Thanks guys.
